Travel, Teach, Live in China

Will/Won't

In Response To: Many Questions, Very Confused (Eric)

I live not far from Tianjin, so have been there several times. It's not a bad city - very big, old but quaint. The tree-lined streets in many parts make it feel like a person could be comfortable living there. Shopping is fabulous. Markets are fabulous - & there's many! Many different sites to see. It's cheap to live so your income offered should be more than enough (depending on how you like to live). There's a good ex-pat bar/retaurant there that offers a variety of entertainment & a good reson to mix socially with foreigners. This is owned & run by an American. There's also a foreign bar street. Can't say anything about Kid's Castle Kindy, but you can only but try. It's always a huge risk coming from home to the total unknown. Remember - there's always a way out if you're not happy. Try to sign a contract for 6 months first, then if you're not happy then you only have 6 months of horrible. Give it a go - you'll be ok.
