Travel Tips

A Simple Luggage Tips Guide
By:Michiru Isu

Need a travel suitcase for your big trip around Europe or perhaps that long-awaited honeymoon? One of the keys to having a blast on your holiday is making sure you have all your essential items in a secure, quality suitcase, because if something gets damaged along the way, it would surely jeopardize your holiday. This guide will give you the top tips in purchasing travel luggage that will meet your needs.

There are several reasons that you might want to upgrade that old suitcase of yours, whether it might be damaged or just too big or small. Or maybe you are fashion-conscious and want something more up-to-date.

If you require a more spacious suitcase, the least risky way to go about it is to first find out how large the interior of your current suitcase is - get a ruler out.

Since there are so many suitcases available on the market, knowing exactly how large your new luggage needs to be is important to making the right purchase choice. Remember that if you plan on taking a somewhat longer holiday, you should think about upgrading on size.

Currently available are hard and soft suitcases, as well as the hybrid types. The hard suitcases are fantastic as they will decrease the chance of your belongings getting damaged in transit, and they're water proof as well. Down side is, they're kind of heavy.

The advantages to going for a soft material style luggage, is that you can really maximize the amount of room within the suitcase. Since the material is malleable, you can stuff a lot more clothes and shoes in than your regular hard-top suitcase. These are really nice and light as well but the disadvantage is that it can easily get damaged, and soaked if it gets caught out in the rain.

In deciding between different prices and brands as well as sizes, you need to take into account how long your trip will be and what types of belongings you need to take with you on the trip. Obviously you can't take your whole house with you so be frugal.

If you look at brands such as the all-popular Samsonite, or Rimowa's range of suitcases, you will notice that they all come with multiple storage compartments. These are important for storing things such as your grooming kit, makeup and so forth.
