Employers Expectations and Resume Tips
By:Delano Dorasamy

Employers love many things, and creativity is one of them. It shows them you can think with a quick response time, contribute to the company, and your eagerness for the job! Employers often check the information of job seekers. It is easy to find information on the Internet. Employers generally look for certain specific detail in job-seekers. They basically look for people who will benefit the company.

Employers will expect you to have experience. There are lots of experiences, skills and interest areas that you can put on your resume, even if you don't have a lot of work experience. Employers build their perception about you depending upon your resume. Be sure to be extra careful and as honest as possible when writing your resume.

Recent research results has shown than it takes an average of twelve interviews to receive one job offer, so your resume needs to be persuasive and made to perfection. Given this, your resume must be user-centered and persuasive.

Be sure to let the employer know if you are computer literate, naming the ones you are familiar to (excel, word etc.). List out the kind of work have you done in the past that you've enjoyed. List achievements for which you can provide valid proof of. Other achievements may revolve around recruiting and motivating successful teams, opening up new marketplaces for your previous company, or researching and developing new product areas, for your new company.

Include a customized cover letter with your resume. A cover letter is your chance to express why you believe you're the best person for the job. Include the name of your position and your responsibilities. Include an alternate number in case you may not be available at home all the time. Do not put in your birthday, social security number or other personal information such as marital status and any children or other family members. Any unnecessary information will be useless to the employer and sometimes your resume might be excluded if found to be lengthy.

Check out the resume blogs for tips on how to write a good resume. If you are not sure which career to choose, then do a little soul-searching and get a lot of advice from experienced people. Check around for different types of opportunities. Attend workshops, these provide a lot of information, information that can be applied directly to the classroom, unlike most education courses. Be sure to do your research before writing your resume, after all it will depend on you getting the job or not!
