The Institute
Irish Ministry of Education Recognised (RELSA). We offer large, bright classrooms, dynamic teachers, stimulating English courses and warm, friendly and caring host families. All this enables you to get maximum benefit from your stay in Dublin. On arrival, our English Test helps us to determine which is the the most appropriate class for you, from beginners to advanced. Every student is placed at the right level. Your progress is monitored daily by our Academic Manager to ensure optimal progress. All students are encouraged to use our language laboratory, self access centre, library and cassettes for self study purposes outside class time.

The Programmes
Courses are provided in a standard format of 20 hours per week (including 20 minute coffee-break each day):
General English Courses: the emphasis is to improve communication in English by developing grammar, reading, writing, listening, speaking and fluency skills, using role plays, discussions, debates, audio-visual and taped material. All levels beginners to advanced.
General Business English Courses: aimed at professionals who need to use English in the workplace and taught by qualified EFL teachers with business experience. Subject include reading, writing, listening, speaking and pronunciation skills for business. An ideal course to help professionals become more confident and fluent in their use of English in a business context.
English for Special Purposes: Diplomacy, International Relations, Business, Logistics, Air Traffic Control, Agriculture, Travel and Tourism, Law, Medicine, Engineering, Science, Aviation, Banking, Finance, Foreign Exchange, Psychology, Information Technology, Sales and Marketing.
Academic Year Programme: leading to an internationally recognised Cambridge or TOEFL qualification. A typical programme would include a 12-week General English module, a 12-week Work and Study (EU citizens only) or Professional Work Experience module and a 12-week Examination Preparation module. Computer training may be included, if required.
Executive English: courses are designed specifically for Managers, Executives, Technocrats and Professional Specialists in Commercial, Industrial, Financial, and Public Service Organisations. The objective is to enable participants to enhance their communication skills in English, meet their peers in a corporate environment and experience social living in a totally English-speaking setting.

Teachers
Our teachers are selected as much for their enthusiasm for teaching as for their qualifications and experience and all have a university degree. They have a recognised certificate in teaching English as a foreign language (EFL) or a postgraduate diploma in teaching English to foreign students.

Summer Vacation Programme
English Activities Programmes for Teenagers, ideal for 11 to 17 year olds - great activities, excellent English tuition and round-the-clock supervision, superb opportunity for meeting and making friends with peers from all over the world. Many come back year after year to renew old friendships - which include our teachers - and make new ones in one of the safest, most caring and understanding environments in the English-speaking world. We offer host family accomodation within walking distance of the school or comfortable residential accommodation on the school grounds.

Work-Experience Programme (EU citizens only)
Ideal for undergraduates who want to improve their communications skills in General English, followed by work experience in an Industrial, Commercial, Financial or Professional enterprise.

Cambridge First Certificate Cambridge Advanced Certificate, TOEFL, TOEIC, PET and IELTS

Activities and Excursions
During July, August and September you may enjoy excursions in Dublin, led by our own experienced city guide who takes you on trips that tourists do not always discover! During the rest of the year you may enjoy our weekly "Night Out", our twice weekly afternoon excursions and our free Saturday excursions! You will be encouraged to participate in the varied cultural, artistic, musical, dramatic, sports, business and social life that make Dublin so special.

Accommodation
Accommodation is arranged with a selected host family in Dublin. Other accommodation options include: university residences, hostels, guesthouses, apartments or hotels - all within easy access of the school.

Certificates
Upon completion of your course, we present you with your Course Completion Certificate and you may also request a full Progress Report. Many of our students return and recommend their friends.
