Word bingo works really well for teaching new vocab. on any topic. I usually write 24 new words on the board which the students copy onto a piece of paper as I explain and contextualise each word and question for comprehension. Out of these 24 words the students then select 16 words at random which they write down again. then I get one of the students to call out each of the 24 words at random until someone wins. The rationale here is that students 'read', write', 'hear' and 'speak'. Hope this works for you too.
