I am talking to this school in Harbin, in which I plan to be teaching at sometime in January, if all goes well (knock on wood). The school had asked for a medical report, I asked if a doctors written statement of my clean bill of health was okay, she said yes. Is that all I really need or is this miscommunication?

I had read somewhere that once in China they do there own medical examination on you, disease and AIDS test in all, is this the truth? This school is a private academy, not public school or university. Not that I care, I don't have a disease or AIDS, just wondering.

Also any Canadians out there, can you help out. I am currently in Winnipeg and will have to file for my Z Visa once my invitation letter comes in. The problem is the Chinese Embassy/Consulates, do not accept documents by mail or courier, they want it brought in and picked up in person, how is this done with me being in Winnipeg? Will I have to just suck it up and fly to Toronto to get it done, or is there some other way to do this? Info from Canadian on this would be appreciated.
