Travel Tips

5 Travel Must-Haves
By:Vanessa Ann Lea

Whether you are planning to go for a trip inside the country or abroad, there are things that you never should go without.

1. Cash- Make sure you have money with you to last you the entire trip. It pays to budget your travel beforehand and set aside cash to carry with you. If you are traveling abroad, exchange your dollars to the currency of the country you are planning to visit. This comes handy when you take cab rides, public transportation, and if you have other transactions that may not accept credit cards. Also, have your credit cards checked if you can use them abroad for your travel. You do not want to run out of money in the middle of nowhere.

2. Passport- Carry with you your passport at all times. You may never know when you need to take a plane ride or cross borders. If you are the type of traveler who goes where the wind takes you, you need to hold on to your passport. A passport also serves as your official identification.

3. Camera- Capture views and take photos of your travels with a camera. Photographs are the best souvenirs you have of a trip. Engage yourself at taking pictures with the locals and the landmarks. Do not forget to fully charge your battery and never leave your charger behind. Make the most of your time enjoying the new place and capturing the moments. Click away.

4. Comfortable Shoes- There is going to be a lot of walking around when you are on a trip and you wish to see the whole place. Keep your feet comfortable with shoes that have proper cushion and support to be able to walk further and discover more about place. Nobody wants to get stuck in a hotel room with sore feet for most part of the trip.

5. Appropriate Wardrobe- Know the weather and climate of the place you are heading to. If it is on its snow season, bring your winter clothes. If the place is dry but cold, bring thick, warm clothes with some boots and scarves. If the place is humid, dry, and hot, then pack your summer clothes. Coordinate your wardrobe with your itinerary. But if you insist on traveling light, you can always purchase some clothes in any department store in that place. But of course, include that in your budget too.
