Travel, Teach, Live in Thailand

Surviving Your First Day in Thailand
By:Jason Taloner

If you are a young go-getter student looking to start your first Asian Backpacking Adventure in Thailand, then you will probably be starting your travels at the Bangkok International Airport. Upon arrival, be prepared - for you are about to enter into the crazy Asian-inspired adventure that will stay with you until the day you die.

The first thing you'll want to do is head directly to the Koh San Road. Why? Because this is one of the 'backpacking Mecca' of the world. The Koh San Road is simply a road full of youth hostels, restaurants, and strip clubs. And it is on this street in which many people start their Thailand travels. Travelers from Australia may find that it initially reminds them of Kings Cross in Sydney.

Everywhere you look you'll see young people from all over the world. Most seem to be from Sweden, Australia, and Israel. You'll also meet a few Canadians and Europeans. Unfortunately, for us yanks, there are not many Americans there. But not to worry. You'll quickly become absorbed in the friendly international atmosphere. Now the question is, how to get from the airport to the Koh San Road. Well, the answer is, do not take a motorbike.

The trip will take about 45 minutes and you don't want to be riding on one of those things on the very dangerous Thailand highway. Now once you get there, you'll probably want to sample one of the dingiest hobbies of all new Thailand adventurers - you'll want to try the plastic bucket drinks. Meaning you can get a bucket of an alcoholic mixed drink right there on the Koh San Road. This will surely put you in good spirits as you start your Thailand journey.

Looking to fix that old car or old wreck you have in your garage? Want to repair your car yourself, without taking it to the local mechanic? Then come on over to the Car Tools website http://automotiverepairtools.org/.
