Beware of this offer and school. I received a good contract and was asked to send a signed copy to a supposed attorney in Malaysia. The school instructs me in the contract to contact a man in Malaysia, purported to be an attorney, to whom I was to pay certain fees which would be reimbursed later after I arrived in Malaysia. They use a the name of a reputable legal firm in Malaysia and give you a cell phone number instead of the office number, but the attorney they use is not an attorney and is not registered with the Malaysian Bar Association. This person asks for US$840 to arrange for an Affadavit of Guarantee and a Letter of Attestation from the Malaysian High Court of Justice. Since I have friends and associates working in Malaysia, and I have a friend who is a certified Attorney in Malaysia, I was able to investigagte before falling for the scam. Beware. I will report it to the Malaysian Consulate here, but I am sure there nothing will be done.
