In response to Re China Shenzhen International Personal Training Centre (San Migs)

I wonder why so many educated foreigners fail to see the whole "unethical practices" picture in China.

I know of one british FT employed in a district of Beijing with a forged degree. If I was in
China, I would report him and that "school" for their unethical practices.

Unqualified FTs can mess up a lot; employers/authorities plenty more than that. School owners or leaders/directors that either have unrelated degrees to the field they are in or no degrees at all pose one level of danger; foreign expert officials that cannot use/understand English adequately are another scare. Why would we do this industry a favor, when there are former PLA officers or Chinese engineering degree professionals influencing the education of English language in the nation? Needless to say that there are scores of local unqualified or poorly educated teachers that mostly have their loyalty to offer only.

Now, the well qualified local educators, who are into English, are another cup of tea. This is the one group that's responsible for most ill prepared Chinesse that have studied, or are studying, the foreign language. Just imagine the class of a professional teacher/director of studies where tons of random words are directly matched to the local language without any follow-up and where most of the questions are taught with uniformed answers. Hard to say whether this is an "unethical practice" or not though.

All in all, reporting a foreigner with a superior knowledge of English to the local experts under the circumstances may be an overkill. Should the terms and conditions in the country improve, however, ..................
