In reply to Dr Turjakuunnen's comment, You do not have to be a teacher to be an English instructor at these camps. Just come from an English first country. These type of camps are ideal for the people who want to travel and experience more than just the touristy sightseeing places. To immerse yourself with the kids of another country and culture is pretty cool if I may say so. The English teachers that are scattered around Asia and looking to make some extra cash during their time off are agreeing to teach at ALV. They are not necessarily doing it for the travel or experience of teaching kids. They just want to make some extra money. So a blanket statement that all these camps are a scam is unfounded. These camps are what they are. A chance for kids to practice their oral communication over a short period of time. Many of the parents are probably happy to dumped the kids off for a few weeks to have a break for themselves. In actuality the instructors at many of these camps are just glorified babysitters. That being said, you get back what you put into it. There is reward with the camp position if your head is in the right place.
