So, in the Yuncheng area of Shanxi there is collusion to cap salaries of FTs between at least
one very disreputable agent and a private school.

Just like thetruth I have a lot of knowledge of the area. As I said in my other post and Phil88 said I believe the private school ARE NOT PART of this alleged collusion. They probably just want a quiet life and so simply don't have the ability to fight or countermand Yuncheng EV's dodgy practices.

Either way, the FT will lose out!

This was discussed in several threads by the truth. If you compare a contract from the private school to that of Yuncheng EV then the overall picture is that over the course of a contract you will receive almost 100% more than if you choose the one for Yuncheng EV.

As a simple example based on a recent advertisement from both:

Yin Xing School

6,500 per month over 10 months = 65,000rmb
(they pay all months of the contract and do not pro rate)
10,000rmb completion bonus = 10,000rmb
2,000rmb travelling allowance = 2,000rmb
13,000rmb for July and August if you renew = 13,000rmb

Total = 90,000rmb

Yuncheng EV

6,000 per month over 8 months = 48,000rmb
(if you don't work a FULL month you wont get that!)
7,000rmb completion bonus = 7,000rmb
(if you actually get it)
1,000rmb for Spring Festival = 1,000rmb
nothing for July and August EVEN IF YOU RENEWED

Total = 56,000rmb

What would you choose? In fact I was offered a contract at a local uni that paid overall less than Yin Xing School so I think they are genuinely trying.

Steer clear of the Yuncheng area of Shanxi. Teach elsewhere.

Yes, there are other places to go but that does not guarantee you wont get the same shoddy treatment. People choose to go where they wish for their own reasons. One thing I can confirm is that if you do go to the counties of Yuncheng you will see the real China in all its shapes and forms.

Just try not to go there with Yuncheng EV!
