How To Write A Resume Fast and Easy
By:Jay Tokarz

How to Write a Resume From Scratch.

You see a job posting for a job you really want to have. You have to write a resume to submit to the employer and you want the prefect resume that will get you the interview. How can I write a resume? This is the main question you have at this time. Think of writing a resume as writing an assignment in which you want to get an A. You really have to sell your skills to the employer so it should be something that you put a lot of thought into. It is not something that you write off the top of your head and then you're finished.

Start off by brainstorming a list of all the skills and education you have that make you the perfect person for this job. Make a list of all the work you did, both paid and unpaid that relate to the job at hand. It would be a good idea to have the job posting close at hand so you can refer to it while you are making your list. The unpaid work is important because you probably gained skills and experience from this that have a direct bearing on the work needed in the position. Include a list of duties and responsibilities you had in any work that you did.

When listing your education, write down all the degrees and certificates you hold. This can also include any professional development you engaged in for which you don't have an actual certificate. If you received any awards or commendations, list these as well.

To start off your resume, the first thing is your name and contact information. This should go in the center at the top of the page. The next important part of resume writing is to craft a profile summary of your skills. This allows the employer to see right away what value you can bring to this position. However, this should be brief - two or three statements. Choose the items from your list that have the most relevance to the position and write them in such a way as to impress the prospective employer.

List either your education or work experience next. Recent graduates will likely start with education because of the lack of significant work experience.

When you have the resume complete, then you have to edit and revise. This means correcting any mistakes in spelling and grammar and replacing overworked words with ones that are more specific and descriptive. This enable you to have a polished resume to submit to the employer.
