Winning is Freedom
By:Brian McClellan

Those who win consistently can exert their will on their environment. If you pay close attention, you will see winners shaping their destiny every day. For example, winning leaders have the freedom to choose not only their path forward, but the path of the people who follow them as well. They can easily command and commit resources to their efforts. Allegiance to the winning leader is freely pledged by those who follow, as they know this leader is taking them to a better place. Winning leaders need not suffer fools because they are the shot callers – setting direction, not taking it. The winning leader is free like few others.

The winning builders of wealth use that wealth to determine their own fate. Their wealth allows them to be free of all debt, so they are not tempted to work against their best interest. They work not for need, but for love and passion for the work. They invest only as they wish in businesses, people, causes, or simply their family’s security. The winning wealth builder is free like few others. The most accomplished in every field are able to blaze their own trail. The most accomplished winners in any field are scarce by definition, as only so many people can be great in any one area. They have skills, aptitude, and prowess that others value, if not desperately need. Their ability is always in great demand, affording them the freedom to choose their project and name their price. They are free like few others. Winning begets freedom and freedom has no equal.

Your freedom will come as you commit to winning. Winning is great all the time, its presence always “mo’ better” than its absence. Winning can mean more money, or more power, or more fame, or more respect, or more pride of accomplishment, or more of all of the above. These are all good reasons to want to win, but not nearly as good as being free. Those who win consistently have achieved a measure of freedom that many never will. They, first, freed their minds. With their minds free, these great ones do great things.
