The Seven Main Positive Emotions

It makes you wonder when you look at the seven main positive emotions why you sometimes think negatively and how you have lost sleep and agonized over negative thoughts.

Should you spend time meditating and analysing the situation to throw some light on these negative thoughts? Or just concentrate examining the seven main positive emotions in greater detail:

1. Desire
When you desire something you want it with an ardent passion and as with your goals once you have set them, you do not rest until you have achieved your fervent desires.

2. Faith
To have faith in something is to believe completely and totally in what is right for you and your world.

3. Love
To love and be loved is a truly wonderful thing. You love your partner, children and family and there is no greater feeling than having the love reciprocated.

4. Sex
As in love making, love is the ultimate experience.

5. Enthusiasm
To go about your daily life with enthusiasm means you enjoy what you are doing with a passion. You have a spring in your step and as others observe the way you tackle your daily tasks, it can have a marked affect on them in a positive way.

6. Romance
As in love, when you are with the partner of your dreams you cannot fail to be romantic. The cuddles, the hand-holding, the warmth and intimacy you feel, have a positive affect especially when the feelings are reciprocated.

7. Hope
It is hope that starts your goal setting and goal getting experiences but with hope alone, you would not achieve nearly as much. Hope, combined with faith and desire, is when your goals start to become a reality.

So what is stopping you? Start replacing your negative thoughts with positive thoughts now! Think of the new car that you have always dreamed about, see yourself driving it, and imagine how you would feel? Replace that feeling of jealously with one of love. Why become jealous when you can give or receive a kiss or a hug? Diffuse your anger by feeling grateful. Why become angry when you can smile or laugh?

In confronting these issues you have taken your first step towards eliminating negative thoughts forever by encompassing yourself with the seven main positive emotions.
