Inspiration - Create It
By:Dorothy M. Neddermeyer, PhD

You might think that inspiration is something one is born with or by some stroke of luck some people have been imbued with it. Neither is true.

By opening your mind to new ideas for growth and advancement, you invite the universe to inspire you with gentle nudges or a push out of your comfort zone. You might think you are doing everything you possibly can to move your plans forward. However, you might tend to hold yourself back due to fear, uncertainty or indecision about the most lucrative actions and outcome. If instead you consciously open your mind and invite new ideas to take inspired actions towards your goals, you will receive powerful insights that will help you propel your plans forward in highly positive and effective ways. By choosing to open your mind to the creative inspiration the universe holds for you, you can enhance your sense of capability and confidence.

When you feel capable and secure in your ability to make important decisions you bring a new sense of confidence to your work activities, or it might compel you to take your personal endeavors to the next level. Since this mind-set can give you the courage to take bolder steps toward your goals, you need to devote time to invite inspired ideas for new actions that can enhance your efforts.

The easiest way to connect with inspiration is to look over your long-term plans and consider the steps you have taken. Then, open your mind to invite creative inspiration and creative actions you can take to move your plans forward. Write these ideas on paper, and then make an effort to perform one or two new actions as you move forward.

When you see the results of your inspired efforts, the door has been opened for more inspired ideas to come forward and so on until you have reached your goal. This process can be repeated with each subsequent endeavor.
