By:Teresa Evans

Whether you are looking for things to do at home or Christmas classroom activities, there are loads of different fun and educational Christmas activities for kids. As the holiday season approaches there are many different activities that you can use to keep kids busy and having fun. Look at these ideas soon you and the kids will be busy playing, crafting, cooking and decorating.

Christmas Games are one of the most popular Christmas activities for kids. You can play active games like a Christmas version of musical chairs or quite games like bingo or other Christmas word games. Bingo cards can be made by using a grid of two rows of four and filling the squares with Christmas words. Children can make their own bingo cards by writing their Christmas words onto a Bingo card.

Christmas puzzles are also popular. You can make your own or find printable Christmas puzzles on the internet. Look for Christmas mazes, word searches and word finds. A simple holiday puzzle to make for kids is to give them a long Christmas word and ask them to find as many words as possible that can be created from the letters in this word. The word Christmas is a good word to start with. This can even become a competition with the winner being the person who finds the most words.

Christmas crafts are always popular also as children can give away what they make as gifts or make things that can be used as Christmas decorations. Children can also create cards, make their own wrapping paper or make Christmas tree decorations or wreaths.

Cooking is also a fun activity for kids to do at Christmas as kids can enjoy eating what they cook or can give away what they have made as gifts. Children can make cookies, candies or fudge. These can then be put into decorative jars or boxes and given as gifts to family and friends.

There are many different kinds of Christmas activities for kids that will keep kids happy and busy in the lead up to Christmas. Children can play games, solve Christmas puzzles, create decorations, cook Christmas goodies or even make gifts that can be given to others.
