Mexico - One of the Best Places to Live and Retire
By:Stephanie Hofstetler

The United Mexican States, better known as Mexico, has got to have the best retirement deal for foreign retirees.

"Why," you ask. You're asking me why I think Mexico has one of the best places where foreign retirees should spend the twilight of their years. Well here are some reasons.

First, you could experience different climates in Mexico. It varies from being hot and humid in one part of the country then if you travel to low-lying areas there during some months when the temperature would go down, averaging from 20 to 24 degrees Celsius. Up north, on the other hand, is often visited by rain.

Second, Mexico has upgraded its amenities. Those planning to transfer to this North American country would be able to keep abreast with the developments in other parts of the world. It has cable television, high-speed Internet, and modern home appliances to make life more comfortable.

Third, the retirement plan offered by the government to foreigners looking for retirement is close to perfect that it would be difficult to say "no". For those who would be coming from the United States or Canada, they would be able to maximize their money's worth.

Since the US dollar is worth more than the Mexican peso, the retiree could afford to hire helpers in the house such as a housemaid, gardener and even a personal driver. You don't have to worry about cooking your own meals or cleaning the house. You could pay someone to do these house chores for you.

Since you would not be tied up doing these menial tasks, you could attend to more (ahem) pressing matters such as playing golf, having a manicure, fishing and of course the ultimate pastime, shopping. You could even start your second career.

The government has decided to impose a tax-free policy wherein an retiree could bring in his belongings such as some pieces of furniture and have your car shipped in.

You also do not need to be concerned about getting sick because the health care program here is said to be first rate. Physicians, many of whom were trained in Europe and the US, returned and practice their profession in many of the private clinics and hospitals here. I also assure you, you will not faint at the prices of medicines because they are more affordable than the drugs being sold in some first world countries.

So what are you waiting for, learn more about the country and take a short trip to Mexico and see why it is one of the best countries to live and retire. http://www.bestcountriestolive.com/
