Joy,
These are all good suggestions you gave to use in helping Barbara teach her ESL class about the 60's.
Several other ideas I would suggest include:
1. Show the class the original film Harold and Maude- and have them engage in discussion about what
they saw. Have them compare the film to the book.
2. Bring in representative songs from the sixties
and have students discuss both the lyrics as well
as the meanings of the songs.
