I finished my MA in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in ESL. I have also been out of the teaching field for awhile. I recently started tutoring and wanted to review some teaching methods. Before I started working with the kids, I visited the local teacher supply stores, surfed the internet, and went to the local ESL conference. I would suggest digging into the resources slowly. Once you start working with the kids you can assess their needs and then jump right in and then reference your resources when you need to.
