Hello. My name is Alicia Grime. I am a Certified Teacher from Texas but live in Canada. I have been teaching ESl to children
as young as 4---adult.When I saw your question I will offer this advice to you. Find out what age your clients are.I grouped students according to their ability.IF you have never worked with them before see how much
basic English they know even if you think they should know the answer they might not. If they can not express themselves verbally then see if they can answer you in writing a correct response or pointing. Then even in a small group try and pair them with a partner to help them learn from each other. If they are not beginners try and find out what they like to do and build up lessons around their interests.Read outloud to them,USe Visual Flashcards.Use a lot of encouragement to them.

If you like these suggestions please e mail me back
at rexflow@juno.com Good Luck.
