First, you need to stop, and "think outside the box". Find out what the interests are for these students. Then, tailor your lesson and vocabulary to those interests.
Remember to use lots of visuals, i.e. pictures in presenting the lesson.
Also, since you have different ability levels, you might consider having those with higher level skills assist as "peer tutors" with the other students.
