Manila Xiamen International School (MXIS), the first International School in Xiamen City and Fujian Province in China is a college preparatory co-educational day and boarding school. We offer Pre-school, Elementary and High School courses to children of expatriates, overseas students and to the dependents of locals who would want to avail of its service.

Since our inception in 1993, we have already graduated sixty (60) high schoolers who have successfully hurdled college entrance examinations in China, the United States, Australia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Great Britain and Korea. On the average, thirteen (13) nationalities join us annually. Enrollees are accepted anytime during each school year.

Our curriculum combines features from the Eastern and the Western models. We use two (2) international languages: English as our medium of instruction and Mandarin as a second language. We employ foreign as well as local teachers. Our textbooks in Mathematics, Social Sciences,
Science, Literature/Reading and main references are basically from the respectable world publishers such as the Prentice Hall, Scott Foresman and Ginn, Silver Burdett, and for high school mathematics, we use the University of Chicago School Mathematics Project.

The subjects from the Pre-School to the Elementary Level include English Reading, English Grammar and Writing, Mandarin Language, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, Computer and PEMALS (Physical Education, Music, Arts and Life Skills) classes are held at forty (40) minutes each day, five (5) times a week.
