I have little to say, but that you, "inquiring mind", so travelled as you are, have disappointed me and likely many others (western and non-western), with your rant against the western world. I am already disappointed in myself for responding to your comments of several months ago.

You are complaining about the west and dangerously generalizing about westerners -the very thing that you are whining about. And to be sure, whining is what you say "all" the westerners are doing. So where are you going with your statements? Convince me that you are not whining yourself. I have nothing bad to say to you as a person. Nor should you about westerners. You don't know westerners, it seems, as the only westerners you know are those who have been to these cities you listed. How much time in the west and with whom under what circumstances have you spent it? You seem to think you are above every other person who has ever written on here- and you are interested in saying otherwise.

It is too bad that after so much invaluable intercultural experience, it has not brought you to understand that people musn't be placed in blocks of sameness as you are doing. Whine or no whine, show respect and your travels will have a positive effect on the people you touch. I suggest you listen, and not speak so much. Be humble and not so outspoken. This will take you a long way. After all, you very likely could have made friends with the westerners you are arguing against. Yet you would seem to abhore any resemblance or relation with a westerner.

My soul has been hurt by your agressiveness, but I wish you well nevertheless. With peace, that is all I have to quietly say. From here on I only listen.
