Why should a young Chinese lady approach a somewhat middle-aged person in his fifties like me with the intent to marry me?

I have experienced two or three of such attempts when teaching in China. I have always rejected these "offers" because I was not sure that they were sincere; it was a mere attempt to get hold of a foreigner for getting a visa to go abroad for a "better" life there. And I am not interested in any other relationship except that one I have had with my wife who died some years ago and with whom I have spent many happy years and have grown three sons.

I am not in need of any other young "chicks" who care more about their lipsticks than about their education -too much hassle!

And it is not becoming of a teacher to be involved in personal relationships with any of his students - a very clear matter!
