Is it standard practice for the employee to pay credit bail? I've noticed that some contracts (for China) require that the employed party pay up to $1000 to show their "good faith" for employment. This sum is then returned to the employee upon completion of the contract.

Are they serious???!!? Seems like a very dodgy clause to me...
