How To Become A Writer For Web Content
By:Dr.Mani Sivasubramanian

For many people, a lifelong dream is to become a writer. They nurture this fond hope and desire inside themselves for years and years - but do not take the first step to become a writer.

When I ask some of them, the most frequent answer is that they think it is too hard. Nothing could be further from the truth. It is not rocket science to become a writer, and it is particularly easy when you want to become a writer of web content.

Just Start Writing

The very best way to become a writer is to just plunge ahead and do it. Sure, the first few attempts will not be professional, maybe not even good. But as your constantly practice, refine and hone your technique and persist, you will notice your writing skills getting better.

Also, you will notice that you can write faster, more effortlessly, making fewer mistakes or getting stuck less often.

Study About How To Become a Writer

There are countless books, ebooks, courses and informative websites about becoming a writer. Spend some time daily reading about how to become a writer. Get tips, advice and strategies from experts who have been where you are and overcome obstacles to become writers.

Practice Every Day

If you are serious about becoming a writer, remember there are no shortcuts. There is no magic pill that you swallow and suddenly become another Shakespeare. No, it's all about hard, consistent, steady work and practice.

Make it a point to write every day. It doesn't matter what you write - blog posts, forum discussions, articles for your ezine or a new webpage on your site. Try and make writing a daily habit, an activity you do at the same time for the same duration.

Seek Feedback and Advice

Once you feel reasonably confident about your writing skills, ask people who are good at it to critique your work and offer feedback or suggestions to make it better. Some will help you, others will not. That's part of the game.

If you find someone who impresses you with their skill and style, try and see if they are willing to be your mentors and guide you through your learning process.

Affirm Your Desire to Become a Writer

Believe in yourself enough to know that if you practice and persevere, you will soon become a writer. With that belief inside of you, anything becomes possible. You will not give up in frustration the first time you run into a roadblock.

Even experienced writers sometimes have writers' block, and spend hours staring at a blank sheet of paper or a computer screen. The good news is that with practice, these events only happen very rarely.

Tell Everyone Once You Become a Writer

After some time you will gain enough skill and confidence to believe that you have become a writer. Now go out and tell the world. Too many good writers and infopreneurs fail to reach the level of success and wealth they deserve because they do not market themselves aggressively and effectively enough.

Promote your skills. Offer clients your service. Display your portfolio of articles and other work proudly. And respect your own skills and talents enough to charge the top price your work deserves. That's how to become a writer for the Web - by practice, persistence and passion.
