By:Rakesh Ramubhai Patel

Writing resolutions play a vital role when it comes to doing creative writing. Suppose you are writing a story or a fiction, you need to be focused on it otherwise you may find it difficult to complete your task. There needs to be constant inspiration and motivation to complete writing and this can be achieved by strong writing resolutions.

Writing resolutions are noting but developing discipline to achieve your writing goal. You really need to learn how to develop such resolutions while writing. There are certain things which you need to keep in your mind.

When you write something, you are not sure when it will finish because you may find some disturbance meanwhile. Some other things may also interfere into your task and you may postpone your work. For instance, if you are feeling sleepy, you might think of postponing your task for the next day. The best thing is to decide the particular time that you can regularly devote for writing only. So, doing such time resolution, you will think of committing to writing when that specific time comes up.

Your resolution should be realistic or, you will end up in frustration not to justify your task properly. Suppose you resolve to write 3 to 4 hours daily, you will continue doing that for couple of days but after that, you will find troubles carrying on such commitment. When you fail to devote the particular time period, you will feel like frustration. And therefore, it is very crucial to make realistic resolution for your writing task. If you are sure that you will be able to devote no more than 1 or 2 hours for your writing, then it is more advisable to set your goal accordingly.

You can revise your writing resolution on weekly basis. It will be a good thing if you make your writing schedule for a week. Just tell yourself that you are going to write for certain hours for the week. Once you successfully complete your goal within the week, then you can extend the same schedule for the next week. You can also make some improvements in your weekly writing schedule.

How to schedule your writing task is an important thing but how to carry out your writing schedule for certain period of time is equally important. If you really wish to successfully complete your writing task, you need to have strong writing resolutions.
