In Response To: Getting Up To Speed With Cable Internet Service (Morgan Hamilton)

Hi, Morgan

I enjoyed reading your article, and I agree. I have cable and I hope I never have to go back to dial-up.

I just noticed this little point you made about the power going off, and I had to respond. Mainly for fun, so worry about it, okay?

"The only downside with cable is that when there is no power, you will have no service. Nevertheless, if your computer runs on batteries, this won’t be a problem."

I couldn't figure out why this was mentioned as a downside to 'cable' only. Unless you're thinking of phones that must be plugged into a power supply. (for dial-up and DSL) Some don't, and those work even with the power off, don't they? I keep both types just for that reason.

Anyway, an interesting piece that caught my attention. Good job!
