We are located in Nagua on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. The volunteer project is organized in support of Nueva Luz Christian School (Colegio Evangelico Nueva Luz) . We are starting a Bilingual project next scholar year 2011-2012. Our school is a mixed school offering formal Spanish education to pre-school, elementary, middle and High school students of Nagua area. We aim to encourage the students to value education, mentor them, and bring to this tourist area the bases of a different education based in English as a second language.

The volunteers will be involved in supporting the school in teaching English, Math, Chemistry, Arts, Physics, Biology, Basketball and others, also tutoring the students and counseling them, specially in pre-school, k to elementary and middle school.

Participants should have a positive attitude, be ready to adopt and enjoy simple living conditions.
