RE:AID Kenya Foundation's Project HOPE Kenya: Kitutu Community Resource Center

AID Kenya Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to mobilize voluntary humanitarian aid and development assistance to orphaned and vulnerable children, teenage mothers and disenfranchised populations in rural-urban Kenya. Learn more on our website: http://www.aidkenya.org .

On humanitarian grounds, the Foundation implements, “The Bringing HOPE and a Sense of BELONGING Program” (The Project HOPE Kenya), aimed at Changing Lives, Impacting Humanity in the form mobilizing humanitarian aid to orphans and teenage mothers; distributing sanitary towels to school girls; conducting medical camps; and giving scholarships and school supplies to children from disadvantaged households.

To enhance the effectiveness of Project HOPE Kenya, the Foundation hosts local and international volunteers and students under “The Experiential Learning & Cultural Exchange Program”,( Feature Article on GoNomad Link: http://www.gonomad.com/helps/1011/kenya-volunteer.html), a program which posts volunteers and research students on the Foundation’s feel-good projects at the community level to enhance cultural understanding, gain new experiences, tour the country, foster peace and bring HOPE.

Effectively, AID Kenya Foundation in partnership with the Kitutu Community Development Association (KCDA Foundation) and other partners, is working towards formally launching the Kitutu Community Resource Center (The Kitutu Center:www.youtube.com/watch?v=gf_QPFKL0tk), a project that we believe will turn around the lives vulnerable children and teenage mothers Kitutu Community, Kisii County, rural Kenya that is ravaged by absolute poverty, despair and HOPElessness.

The Kitutu Center offers shelter, feeding, care and support orphaned and vulnerable children, as well as vocational and occupational skills to teenage mothers and in-and-out of school youth from the region and beyond.

Therefore, we are writing you to seek for partnership, cooperation and sponsorship to launch the The Kitutu Center, build a complex and continue supporting the children and the teenage mothers through The OVC & Teen Mums Support Program.

Any contribution in form of funds, volunteering, technical support or in-kind, will highly be appreciated as ‘’Friends of Kitutu Center’’.
