The background of this school is that of a non-profit oriented Christian Mission’s school catering for the typical needs of students in developping nations. Therefore, we used to offer a variety of degree programmes - theological and non-theological like English Teacher Training - at undergraduate as well as at graduate level. Our Teacher Training programme includes all the essential linguistic and language pedagogy-related course modules and in that follows long established European academic tradition. We have delivered these programmes with students both physically present in class and online. For the practical teaching component(teaching practicum), we sent our students enrolled for the online study option to recognized partner schools in their local area to do their teaching practicum under the supervision of a proctor, normally an experienced teacher who returned a feedback form to us about the trainee’s performance in the teaching practicum. Our English teacher training programmes are not intended for students with a mere interest in a 4-week ESL teacher training course offered by most of the commercial providers. They will take up to 4 years to complete at undergraduate level and between 1 and 2 years at graduate level. Our highly qualfied international faculty with at least a Ph.D. in a subject-related area includes both non-native and native speakers of English. For registered students, we provide a complete, high quality service from providing electronic textbooks for all course modules, tutoring, to course module exams with comprehensive feedack on student performance as well as intensive guidance in thesis supervision for graduate students.
