The overall aim is to provide a thorough course which includes a balance between the theory and methodology of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and to thoroughly prepare our trainees for teaching in any environment.

The course consists of 4 units (a total of 10 modules) each of which is marked and returned with comments and guidance from the trainers. The modules submitted are continually assessed, there are no written examinations.

No prior qualifications or experience are required. Fluent English, determination and willingness to learn are all you need. For non-native speakers of English, a minimum English proficiency of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent is required.

You will be learning in your own time, by reading course material, working on course activities and completing tasks.

INTESOL Japan uses a carefully structured approach to learning and will help you every step of the way. Your personal tutor will support you. With each returned module you will receive an assessment sheet, which allows your trainer to comment on your progress, giving advice and guidance for future modules.
