Non Valid Reasons People Give For Not Buying Travel Insurance
By:Theidol.com

So many people think it is unimportant to get travel insurance and use plenty of excuses for not buying it. There is really no valid reason for not buying travel insurance when travelling abroad these days and it is more important than ever before that you have it in place. Crime abroad is on the increase and with so many previously relatively unheard of weather conditions and natural disasters occurring more frequently, it is essential to be covered while you are away from home.

One of the more widely used excuses for not buying travel insurance is that it costs too much. This is simply not true anymore. There are hundreds of travel insurance companies out there competing to give you the best deal for the lowest price so it is not hard to find cheap travel insurance that will provide you with adequate cover. It is no longer a big chunk gone from your holiday so this is no reason to ignore getting travel insurance.

People also often claim that they have forgotten to buy travel insurance before going abroad. Again this is a lame reason for leaving yourself open to covering the costs of any kind of mishap which could occur when you go away. Whenever you book a holiday, whether with a travel agency or directly on the internet, you will more than likely be asked if you want insurance or you will see some sort of advert for insurance. It is then that you should buy your travel insurance instead of leaving it until the last minute when you most likely will forget. If you are constantly forgetting to buy travel insurance then you should consider getting an annual plan in place which will cover you no matter when you go away.

Another reason people commonly give for neglecting travel insurance is that they don’t need it as they are only travelling for a short period. It doesn’t really matter whether you are going away for two weeks or just a short weekend break. Accidents can happen anytime – that is why they are called accidents! You cannot predict how and when they will happen. Plus you can lose your money, luggage, or have to cancel your flight even if you are only going away for a weekend.

One of the things you should never assume is that it won’t happen to you! Nobody can predict who will fall foul of accidents or other travel mishaps. Although they are rare, they can work out very costly if you are not insured. So don’t make excuses or you could be wishing you had just bought that travel insurance. You do not want to make the mistake of going abroad without it.

Always be sure to check exactly what your policy covers with your insurer.
