Martin makes some good points about teaching in Thailand. However, although you can often find more higher paying jobs in Bangkok, this is often offset by much higher living costs.

It's usually harder to find jobs in the provinces because they are not so technologically savvy to list their job vacancies online. Instead you will find that a more direct approach maybe necessary where you have to visit the schools you are interested in and solicit for work.

Anyway, there are some great teaching opportunities in the provinces of Thailand so have a look around and see what you can find.
