I recently was looking around for courses close to my house and I found a few in Chicago. http://teflweekend.org It looks to be pretty competitive city, but then again, I only found and talk with one place that seemed sincere. Here is why. I found one TEFL place that charges almost $1000 for a three day course and another that is a much better deal for about half of that. I just want people to be aware to look around. I am taking the course this break, if any one else is interested, email me.
