Re: William Brewster TESOL Institute (Questions About School)

I am not a present or former employer of this company and have never had any personal contact, association or knowledge of this individual or school prior to my enrolling in their 200 hour on-line TESOL training. Furthermore I am not a competitor or have ANY friends, family or associates working for competing TESOL schools.

I believe I plainly stated in my initial posting who I am and the nature my problem with this school/individual. I am simply a consumer who has been "ripped-off" by an unscrupulous business/individual. As recently as today, Woodard offered an unacceptable remedy which was to continue his training and he "would try to do better". However he refused reimbursement of tuition. I could understand this if I was on Module 8 of a 10 Module course, but I immediately discovered the problems after receiving Module 1 and registered my complaint and asked for reimbursement by October 4, 2006.

Since notifying PayPay of my problem, they have temporarily suspended his account. I checked the Brewster TESOL website today and they have a new international payment system www.moneybookers.com. Is this only a coincidence? I think not.

Yes I am passionate about this to the point I am soliciting verifiable complaints from PayPay, ESL websites, individuals or corporate entities on Brewster TESOL or the American Language Institute that Woodard is Director of.

I have documentation of all my correspondence with Brewster TESOL (Woodard) and his responses. I have terminated my efforts to directly seek a refund from Woodard who apparently believes I will "go away quietly". His last correspondence also infers he feels secure in the third world country Indonesia. He apparently does not understand as a U.S. citizen he is subject the laws of the United States worldwide IF he has committed a crime.

I will in the near future be seeking remedies through U.S. State and Federal law enforcement agencies, Consumer Protection agencies or Embassy's, Indonesian authorities, private consumer SCAM sites/agencies or major ESL or Watchdog websites where students try to do their Due Diligence prior to enrolling in a school. I have not accused him of criminal activity. I will submit the evidence and let U.S law enforcement and prosecutorial agencies make that determination.

Seems to me refunding my $103.99 tuition would have been the prudent thing to do and prevented more unwanted publicity at the very least. It does not make good business sense, especially when he acknowledged, stipulated to or otherwise admitted in his correspondence all the problems I addressed! My experiences in my "former life", ie. law enforcement, is individuals such as this truly believe they are "invisible and bullet proof" and have a false sense of security and think problems will just go way. In my case, they will not go away quietly. I will post more detailed information in the near future as updates are received.
