I would like to reply to some parts of your text:

In today's world we are getting more and more scammers on our Teachers websites. Most of these are coming from Nigeria, Ghana etc. One problem we are having is that Chinese recruiters are asking us for our personal information ie Passport etc even before we have been interviewed. I personally feel that all Teachers should start to stand up against these recruiters and not give out our personal passport information. This then will deter some of these low life idiots from contacting us.

Some other experienced posters and myself have frequently and regularly warned against disclosing or even sending sensitive personal information to anyone you don't know. A first contact with a recruiter or employer is a preliminary stage where handing out such information is not necessary. Second, you should have a full name and the physical address of the person you are sending it to. Otherwise, don't do it!

Many times i have sent out my passport to some agencies and as soon as i hand this information out i start to receive emails from these scammers, especially on this website. Yesterday i even received an email with death threats to myself. Obviously he didn't like what i said to him as i haven't heard from him after that.

Death threat? Oh, that only shows how low these people are. I reckon that you as an ex-soldier won't be too much impressed by them. In a case like that, I would tell them something like this: "If you dare to threaten me again, you fool, I will get you locked up. Jail is the only place where filthy dirt like you belongs". Not very nice, I know, but that's about the only language these people understand.

Don't allow these people to get on top of you as all they are is low life scum who sit behind a computer trying to do us out of our hard earned cash. These people are vermin who don't scare or intimidate me. I would love to just come face to face with some of this scum and then see who gets intimidated then.

Right so, but they are faceless cowards and would never show up if there was someone to challenge them.

Stand up against these assholes as that is all they are. Don't hand out your personal passport information to agencies or Schools until you have a confirmed offer.

Absolutely, that is the only way to protect yourself/yourselves. Newbies to ESL, and particularly ESL in China, should use their brain a bit and be very, very careful! There are many garbage folks out there, especially those calling themselves "recruiters" - mostly, they are folks from the bottom of the barrel, anyway! One of them, filthy wonna-be-recruiter Frank Zhang wangbadan, suggested to those criticising him in public that they have sex with dogs. That only shows that scammers like that guy have no brain at all, and that everyone would do well to avoid such people altogether. Just the fact that they are around makes me smell the odour they spread!

If they can't see from your CV that you are a Native English Speaker then they are not worth dealing with in the first place. Our own governments tell us do not hand over passport information. The only people who should be dealing with our passport issues and visas for China is the PSB. Recruiters should not be asking for this.

Entirely correct.

To all the scammers out there, how about getting yourself a real job and earn yourself a salary like the rest of us do.

If the police could get hold of someone like this, then he should be sent to a military re-education camp; eventually such a person would learn something about discipline by the tough way, and that he should not bother decent people with his garbage scam!
