teachers if you are applying for jobs in Dubai /abu dhabi - the name of the school is The British School in Abu dhai. there are a lot of scams about . you will asked to pay for the visas initially small amount of money then the money getter bigger and bigger - the school seems 'real; and so does the contract. DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY BY WESTERN UNION....especially to the people in dubai and abu dhabi - i have reported the matter to the police and they cannot do anything as the fraud took place abroad. teachers be careful... i got sucked into this as my contract terminated here and was desperate to get employment and these people know they can play on your weakness... i have also reported this to the UAE embassy... the name of the principal is paul Coackley and he will ask you to send the money to the person by the name of abu musa. in dubai. even the website is 'real', but in reality this is a fraud

hey victim, i hear ya. it's a jungle around and i've been here a decade as well. my reasons for being here are that i've got a son born here and a wifie, of course. my wifie's got a rather large family with an ill mother here. she wouldn't want to leave and even after we've considered, the local police's given us troubles. my son's got a canadian citizenship, atlhough we can't get him out yet too. we need "a permit" for this little canadian and my wifie needs a bit more than just that too. sorry to go a bit off topic but just for the sake of WHY I AM HERE. never mind my recently bought home here that's gonna be quite hard to sell. nooobbody seems interested and there're sooo many adverts for selling a home
i think i'll have to stick around for bit longer

Had been tricked by this SELTA TEAM based in China into taking an online TEFL course which cost a whooping 168USD! This SELTA TEAM posted a teaching job on Dave's ESL Cafe late last year so applied for it. I received a message from this SELTA TEAM saying that I have all the necessary qualifications to work for them,however, they said that I needed to have a TEFL/TESOL certificate before they can give me a job.On their email,they included TEFL/TESOL links for me to check and choose from. I enrolled in one and sent this information to SELTA TEAM right away. But after I paid and finished doing the course in two weeks, I couldn't contact SELTA TEAM anymore. My emails to them bounced back with Chinese writings that of course I couldn't read or understand. Remember---SELTA TEAM in China is not to be trusted!!!
