How do you protect yourself when a "tourist" wants to home-stay in your home for a few days. i am in LA/USA and the sheriff says, "if you take money, they have rights", unless they are committing a crime. I, as you, are doing this to help people and share the cultural difference, not to be taken advantage of. This is no big money-maker. Do you ask for driver's license, passport, references, etc. ? thank you.
