Re: Tutor needed in England (fake tutor job)

You are definitely correct. The moment when they ask to send money through Western Union for processing or any other purpose...donīt be fooled but thatīs how they do it. Be aware and read properly as some of them donīt even write good English and lots of grammatical mitakes that Iīm sure we teachers can spot that.

Re: Tutor needed in England - "Dr Junjie Gui", english2gui@gmail.com (fake tutor job)

Well I am not stupid, however I will say naive and in need of a job. I have masters qualifications and common sence, I guess I just got caught up in this Dr's story. His name is Dr. Junjie Gui and has a wife and two kids - Fang and Mei. He was offering 3000 pounds a month with accomodation. He was from China but lived in Washigton on Tyne and his e mail is english2gui@gmail.com. I am only writing on this board in the hope that I can stop someone else from being lured into this false employment. Please pass this on to any one you may know who is seeking work.

Tutor needed in England (fake tutor job)

For all the scams about working as a tutor in the UK for GBP 3000 or so a month : first, why would anyone want to hire a foreigner to teach anything in the UK except a foreign language? Does anyone think that in ENGLAND poeple do not speak ENGLISH? If you need a tutor, put an ad in the free-press and you will have no trouble finding the right candidate. Full-time ESl teachers in a UK language centre get around half of the offered amount of GBP3000, and some scams are offering more. Come on! Nobody would be stupid enough to pay that much.

For GBP 3000 a month plus expenses, you could get a teacher from any school in England becuase most of them do not earn that much. Also, it is illegal in the UK for any employer to require the candidate for a job to pay for anything as a condition of getting the job.

It's a dumb, poorly thought out, and obvious scam. If these dicks make any money from this they must have found people more stupid than them.

Don't let them cheat you.
