My questions to you are:

* Did you have enough reasons to trust the person so that you provided your domain without getting paid? Isn't it usual in the faceless world of the internet to receive the payment first and then to provide the item only after that?

* Are you sure that the person really is he/she said she was? And that this person is from South Africa?

Anyway, I hope you had not been too much hurt by this.

You should perhaps also warn your current and/or former students so that they don't do any business with that person. A person like that cheating you will also likely cheat others!
