Teaching for family of Adel Youssef in the UK

I received an offer 2 or 3 weeks ago from Adel Youssef who said they were from Russia but living in the UK in Manchester. I was offered a job teaching his children for an excellent salary. All of my expenses were to be paid including airfare, apartment, etc. with no cost to me. I told him that I would not pay any amount to get a job and that he would be required to pay all of my expenses including airfare, healthcare, accommodations, work permits, visa, etc. He agreed. After returning the signed contract and copies of my degrees etc, I was asked to send a copy of the letter of offer to a Barrister Duke Cole. I again reiterated that I would not pay any fees and that if his Barrister asked me to pay, I would discontinue any correspondence. About 3 days ago, I received a response from Barrister Cole that would need to establish a deposit bond of 800 to 1350 British pounds. He stated that this would be refunded to me after I arrived in the UK and began working. I talked to some people in the UK who are working there and was told they had never heard of that. I was advised by the UK Embassy not to send any money.

I have now discontinued any correspondence with the Barrister, if indeed he is one, and with the guy offering me the job, Adel Youssef. If you are offered such a job by this man, I would advise you not to send any money to them. I think it is a scam, but I did not send any money to them. I have worked in many countries in Asia, and in Europe on a contactual basis as well in business and in teaching jobs, but I have never been asked to pay any amount such as this. I usually talk with a representative at the Embassy for that country whenever I get an offer. I have found that those employers who ask a teacher to pay in advance for services are usually not legitimate.

Good Luck
