Hunt M. Allen - 2014-04-05

I get letters and copies of a contract and usually a picture of the family I will be teaching. I have been successful in just responding that I will never pay any amount of money, not even $1, to get a job anywhere. I usually tell them that should I get a request for money from anyone representing them or their supposed job offer, whether it be an attorney (or barrister as they usually say), or a supposed government office, I will discontinue any further communication with them. This usually works. If I get one who is sometimes a little stubborn and thinks they can wear me down, I call the embassy in Washington DC and report the information along with a copy of my correspondence. I never hear from them again after that.

A good rule is to never send too much personal information to them and definitely never give them any banking info nor send any money in any form. It is just a shame that there are so many people who want to make money from someone who is actually looking for employment.

Take care and good luck.
