Hello Roy, thanks for your concern, but I never had any intention of using the services of "Christ" from Beijing. I put the e-mail address and phone number of Christ on the board to warn others. Anyone who recieves an e-mail from Christ should immediately delete it. If anyone recieves a phone call from Christ they should just hang up.
But your advice is good. Contact schools and universities directly. Never use any recruiters.
It is the only way to go in this unregulated and risky EFL industry.

In most of cases, residence permit(multiple entry visa) should be offered at employer's cost. The condition is that contact has been signed by foreign teacher.
Any way, monthly salary, fees for certificates,accommodation, etc should be stipulated in contract. Foreign teacher can choose paying agency to get a job(if it is very difficult for you to find a job yourself) or paying nothing to get a job directly from employer.
Suggest that you contact employer yourself! Remember, do not work to sign contract, instead, you better sign contract to work.

In China, you never pay for recruiters (apart from the fact that you cannot trust them because most of them are cheats and liars!) as the schools looking for a foreign teacher will pay them.
So, if there is someone asking you for money, do a runner and drop this contact - it would be a 100 % scum!

I have also been contacted by that woman , "Christ" from Beijing. She said she could "find me some good teaching positions", as well as provide me with a "Z-visa for one year" - if I pay 9000RMB! As anyone who has taught legally in China knows, a Z-visa is the working visa that is converted to the residence permit after one month.

Why did you give any money to that piece of scum! How much money have you lost? Your story is a big warning to others. NEVER give money to ANY school or recruiter. Such people are liars and criminals, if anyone recieves an e-mail requesting money for recruitment services, delete such emails immediately.

Ohhhhhhh my God this guy has killed me! I am also a victim. He has taken my money that he will get me a school till now nothing, lying day in and day out. For about 5 days now i can not reach him online when i call his phone no answer.Please advise me if there is a way out i can get my money back. This guy is really wicked . He is taken advantage on an innocent and needy people God will punish him if he refuse to refund all the money he has taken from Africans.

This is really a true story and he works in complicity with another lady based in Beijing called Christ.At moment i am a victim of these fellows who have caused a couple of teachers from Cameroon promising them good jobs on good pay and they are stranded here in China.They had provided wonderful work contracts to lure these teachers and on arriving here,one of the victims whom i am presently housing told me the so-called Christ received him at the airport and started demanding money.To them,you pay them money first before you can hear or see a fake contract which they brandish around.Later in his hotel,she told him to sell his return ticket and give her the money.She even wanted to offer her dirty body to the teacher in the name of love so that can have the grounds to collect money from the teacher.She is NEMO'S partner.So fellow jobs seekers beware and be warned.
