In response to McGinty School in Spain (Pseudonym)

That's because the Scammers subtly alter the email address so that you don't notice it's different.

In your case, they change info@mcgintyschool.com to something like lnfo@mcglntyschool.com (the letter I is replaced with a letter L)

So, in fact, you're not really writing to McGinty School unless you actually decide to manually type in the address.

The scammers target teachers from outside the EU. They give them a fake Skype interview (text only), offer them another interview in Spain or the job itself.

They then forward them to a fake airline ticket agency (in your case Air Berlin) to get money from them. Another scam is to forward them to a fake VISA application agency to scam money for a work visa.

Don't blame the original school/academy. They are perfectly innocent in the whole process.

Indeed, McGinty School of English in Almería is a very reputable academy.
