I got the same message from a "Chinese" doctor using the name of Manchu Delun or Delun Manchu. The details are identical with the job percs given by "Dr. Kato".
I had the 800GBP sent, and then was notified by the attorney David Normington, that the Home Office needed another 1150GBP because I didn't have enough money to prove I wouldn't be a public charge! It finally got through my head that there's something fishy here.
Hopefully I'll be able to get the 800GBP back!

Yes, it is a classic scam.

No work agency any agency should request payment for a job they offer, especially via western union.
I'm afraid you will never see the money again and what is worse, they may ask you to pay for extra charges. they will try to get as much money from you as possible. They also have your private details and may attempt to steel your identity.

070 numbers are used by fraudsters all the time, this is not a UK number, it is a redirecting number allowing them to use it anywhere in the world.

Please inform your local police of the fact that you have been scammed.

In reality, "Dr. Daisuke Kaito" may be Nigerian scammer living in a household with his darling pets, some big and fat but stupid crocodiles. In reality, he is definitely in need of any teachers because the foreign language that his nasty crocs are able to learn would not be one that you could really teach!

So, don't send him anything, his crocs are definitely illiterate and therefore would not know to appreciate your application efforts...LOL

I MAY ALSO BE DEALING WITH A SCAM...

I was sent an email by Dr. Shing Han who gave me an address in England. He asked me to send my teaching certificate which I directed him to a web site where he could check it himself (it is public). I sent a resume and within days he offered me a job and had his attorney Sir David Normington, send me a contract. I signed the contract after asking about the 800 GBP's that he would require I send via western union. I asked if I could simply show that I had funds in my own account here. He said that they did not accept bank statements and I would send the money to myself from a friend.
IS THIS A SCAM?

Thanks, your links are really useful. I will copy the scam posts to the "Immigration Law Practitioners' Association" in London as they regularly submit issues to government. I will also ask them if they would contact the UK Border Agency and draw the agency's attention to the use of their name in these scams.

I too am a recent victim of this guy. Who is he?? I sent the "contract" letter to my cousin, who's a lawyer. Thank God she was able to spot the fishiness of it almost at first glance! Does anyone know or have an idea why he does this?

Re SCAM ALERT: Dr. Daisuke Kaito, Shropshire, England +44 (0) 7024070868 UK Border Agency dianamaher_ukchambers@lawyer.com (fake tutor job, England, visa)

I received exactly the same kind of contract letter from this doctor daisuke kaito and his immigration lawyer diana maher. If you have received the same kind of contract letter from the said U.K based employer, you might want to consider checking this link out:

http://www.eslteachersboard.com/cgi-bin/scamalerts/index.pl?noframes;read=1200;expand=1

If you search on Dr. Daisuke Kaito, there's not much info you can get about him because I think he changes his name from time to time. So I'm calling all other people who have received an email from this person to warn other people as well by replying to this post or putting a shout out about it in your facebook. People who have received emails from this employer will find similarities with the emails other people received from the link above.

Someone also gave me the following links that you might find helpful as well in spotting scams:

I've also found this info from the facebook website of the British Embassy in Manila helpful in telling signs of a possible scam:

Facebook website: http://www.facebook.com/ukinthephilippines

Filipinos who wish to travel to the UK for any reason should know that all visa fees are paid in the Philippines, not in the UK. All UK visa applications for Filipinos are lodged at the local Visa Facilitation Centre in Makati City, Philippines. If your prospective employer asks you to send money overseas for visa processing or work permit, please exercise caution as this is a possible indicator of scam.

Genuine UK companies are registered and can be checked on www.companieshouse.gov.uk. UK company addresses can be checked on www.upmystreet.com.uk.

More information about working in the UK can be found at the UK Border Agency website: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/workingintheuk/

Hope this helps. I've also attached here pictures of the apartment he said I would stay in. I think bottom line is, if it is too good to be true, it must be false.
