Almost got caught in the web of lies off these assholes!
Everything seemed legit, even the guy working as an engineer on a oil rig seemed legit which resulted in the amount he wanted to pay! None the less the more and more we talked the more stinker it got! The fish smell was threw the roof! Anyways before I realized it was to late and sent my documentation to them and signed their stupid little fake contract!
Well the party is over for these boys, I have contacted the local London police force as well the Coleford police force as where the job was suppose to take place. I will even contact my local police force!
All I can say is they messed with the wrong ESL Teacher!

I just got a similar offer from Lok Hulin of Sorbiton England.
It seemed more than fair but certainly not too good to be true.
Just in case, I googled the phone number at the top of the contract and it came up on mumerous scam sites including this one.
Not smart using the same number so many times when new phones can be so cheap.
I am stringing him along for as long as possible to make him suffer.
I have just asked him to send me money so I can help him our by buying the air ticket much cheaper than he can.
If he is smart he will know that by now because he could also be reading this just as you are.

I am so glad that I have decided to do some research before going any further with this offer!! He had blinded me with promises of the amazing job and salary, but when the request for the deposit came, I was suspicious. After a week of in depth emails describing the job, I am more upset about wasting so much of my time! Yes, at this point he is using Cappi D'angelo, offering the tutor position in Northhampton England. He sent me pictures of the accommodation, but never of himself or the family. My last contact was him was as recent as this morning. I am wondering how I can help catch this guy before he scams more people!!!

I got the same email from Cappi D'Angelo about a job offer in England. At first I was just excited about this kind of opportunity but Jen I saw the supposed salary, I knew something was up. And also, I'm not sure why anyone would pay an exuberant amount of money to import a teacher when they're living in the English capital.

Hey there, thanks to the one who wrote this l just found out that l almost got thread by the same guy but let me tell you that this time he is CAPPI D'ANGELO and his layer MIKE FALVEY l received the exact contract and he said the same bullshit about tutoring his wife and two kids. Now he says he is a chef living in England... l was always suspicious about him cause we never had an interview via skype and he always said he didn't have webcam and stuff like that... l received his contract agreement and he was asking me to send 900GBP to start the process of the work permit, but hell no... l never did it l made a lot of research to know if this was true since the moment l saw that "stamp" on the contract that didn't say anything... l might not be a lawyer, but l do know what a stamp of a contract is... and thank God l read this page. As l said l received the contract agreement and l signed it but of course l didn't sign with my real signature, l did it just in case this was a whole thread, and indeed it was... but can this guy be more stupid???? l found out all this shit just by googling the phone number that appears on the top of the contract and look... many people have gone through the same thing!
l feel relief and disappointed of course... it was supposed to be a such a good income, but anyways... at least he didn't take any penny from my pocket, although he did waste my time. but the good news is that l have more job offers.

ENGLISH TEACHING EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT
This employment agreement is made between Dr. Junjie Mu and ................
English as a second language teacher. This Employment Agreement is made on this
16th day of July 2012.
The Contract Conditions are:
TREATMENT & TEACHING HOURS
The employer and employee are individuals of equal value and respectability coming
together to harmoniously and respectfully exchange their services. The service of the
employee is to tutor the family of Dr. Junjie Mu English as a second language. The
employer will return the employee's energy and efforts with material and service
supports such as proper housing, salary, and allowances as agreed upon here.
WORK LOAD, HOURS, DAYS:
The workload is maximum of 30 hours per week. Work is organized in two-shifts
with a break of 30 minutes. Maximum teaching hour of six hours (Two hours thirty
minutes with the kids and three hours with the employers wife in a day, from Monday
through Friday from 10:00 hours to 16 :00 hours.
Overtime is not obligatory. The teacher reserves the right to refuse to do overtime or
any activity for or with the employer in his/her free time or on holidays.
PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT
The total Agreement term is eighteen months, commencing from September 10th,
2012.
SCOPE OF WORK
The employee duty is as follows:
Teaching of conversational English language and to improve the reading, listening,
speaking and writing skills of the employers family. The students are Jia Mu, 36 years
old, Jiao Mu, 7 years old and Meili Mu, 5 years old.
SALARY & OVERTIME PAYMENT
The period of four weeks is accounted for one payment session.
Regardless of how few the monthly work hours may be, the teacher's minimum
monthly pay is 4,000.00 British Pounds per 4 weeks session.
The monthly payments will be made on the last day of each month; the
payments are to be made up to date. However, the payment for the last month of the
contract, plus the annual bonus and cost of return airfare will be made on the
employee last work day.
FREE, FURNISHED HOUSING
Housing is a rent-free, a private self contained apartment inside the employers
residence.
Furniture: Curtains, bed, bedding, sheets, desk, closet, table, dining set, TV,
washing machine, clothes rack, pots, pans, dishes, cutlery, phone, fridge, gas cooker,
fan/AC, and a working heating system.
Maintenance and repairs to the apartment and appliances and the heating system, as
well as replacement of worn out furniture is the responsibility of the employer. The
utilities are to be paid by the employer on monthly basis.
SAME DAY RESPONSE
Should the employee report a problem with the heating system, fridge/gas cooker, or
should he/she ask for medical attention, on the same day the employer will hire help
to solve the problem.
PAID HOLIDAYS & SICK DAYS
Will include all national holidays, and 2 week summer & 2 week winter vacation, plus
5 sick days per year. These holidays and sick days are paid (it means the employee is
paid the same salary as usual and will not be asked to work extra hours to make up for
these days, nor do the holidays come off his overtime hours). The employee will
receive 150.00 British Pounds each vacation period.
The vacation weeks can be taken at once either during the summer or winter.
DRESS CODE
Casual clothes, shirts and pants in the winter, shorts and T-shirts in the summer, as
long as they are neat and clean are permitted.
MEDICAL INSURANCE
From the first workday the employee will be covered for his/her dental and medical
insurance by the Aviva Health Insurance. The insurance premium is to be paid by the
employer. The medical insurance is 300 British Pounds per month.
AIRFARE AND VISA/WORK PERMIT
It is the responsibility of the employer to pay: 50% of the employee round trip flight
tickets from the country of employee residence and originating city to Heathrow
Airport, London. The employer is legally responsible for the above noted 50% flight
costs with all expectation they would be on a low cost carrier and economy class seats
however at the end of the contract should the employee recommend a destination
which satisfies government regulations with respect to exiting the country and is at a
lesser cost than flying the employee to his home country, the employer should duly
consider this as it would be beneficial to both parties. The Employer will be at the
Heathrow Airport to welcome the employee to England and the employer will
shoulder the cost of their transportation from Heathrow Airport to his residence.
ANNUAL BONUS
The annual bonus equivalent of one month's pay, is paid to the employee on the last
day of this contract.
DISMISSAL OR VOLUNTARY RESIGNATION
The Employer and the employee reserve the right to end this contract, in any of the
cases below.
It is agreed hereby that 'Copy of employee's resignation or dismissal notice' will be
equal to his legal 'Release Paper'.
Dismissal can take place if the teacher neglects correcting the following causes.
(The employee will have 20 days after each warning letter to correct the situation.)
Neglect his duties stipulated in this agreement.
Frequent absences from work.
Resignation can take place if the employee perceives:
Continuous disrespect, or negligence of his human rights.
Negligence of the points of this contract by the employer.
Death or severe disease of a family member, or severe illness of the employee.
In case of dismissal or resignation, employee is paid up to his/her last day of work,
and no fees are to be deducted from his/her pay. All the accounts / pays on either side
must be settled by the last day of employee’s work.
The Employer cannot dismiss the employee during the last two months of this
contract's period.
In case the employee leaves the employer before his/her contract period ends, the
employer will not pay for the return ticket.
GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION
This Agreement is governed by the law of the United Kingdom.
This Agreement is made final and firm unless any material modification or
amendment to this Agreement is executed with the full knowledge and consent of the
undersigned and incorporated into this Agreement, with both parties' signatures
proving the modifications.
Photostat copies of this Agreement will be considered as valid as the signed original.

I was also found on Dave's Cafe with a similar story! So glad I researched and found this story identical to mine!!!! The guys name now is: Dr. Kam Lee who recently moved to Kent from China with a 7yr an 5yr old daughters and a 36 year old wife and he wanted an international english teacher to move in and help improve their English! He replied so promptly to my emails and seemed to be offering an AMAZING package! Few things were suspicious-the contract he gave me had been reformatted from Word to PDF and the signatures had not been written then scanned but copied and pasted! He also wanted me to pay 800GBP towards my working visa! Someone needs to stop this guy!!!!!!! Like my mom said-if it sounds too good to be true-it probably is!! Dear Janet,
I have the agreement contract attached to this email for your review. After your review and you like the contract terms and conditions, I need you to sign, scan and email a copy of the signed agreement to me for my records.
Once I have it, I will have my attorney contact you and he will let you know of the steps and procedure you have to follow in getting the working permit approved.
Clause 9 in the contracts states that you need to make a deposit of 800GBP. This is towards the processing of your working permit. Your work permit need to be approved here in England before you can apply for a work visa. This is a deposit and it will be claimed back by you upon your arrival to England. My attorney will explain it more to you once I have the signed contract and I have him contact you.

4th email I received:
Dear ________,
I received the email from you and the payment. However, you don't have to send the deposit to me. This deposit has to be on your name and it has to be through western union money transfer. Since I have received the signed agreement, I will have my attorney contact you and he will let you know of the steps and procedure you have to follow in getting the deposit done. I also checked with the Zashpay.com website and they said that to receive money sent via zashpay, you need to have a US checking account and a US address.
The way to make the deposit is to have your friend or relation deposit the money to your name through western union. You can make a zashpay payment to a friend or relative in the US and then have them send the deposit through western union to your name and the destination being England.
Please cancel the zashpay payment you have already made.

I am one of the many who have been approached by this individual. I have reported them through the Action Fraud site, with the added bonus of having and providing their banking information. I doubt that anything will come of it, but hey, nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Seriously though - who cannot spell their own name when signing the contract - it's KEVIN, not KELVIN you idiots. And the poor photoshopping of the seal - come on - I have students that do a better job than that.

I can't begin to express how relieved and disappointed I was to run across this thread! I received the same offer only a few days after posting my information on Dave'sESLCafe. Initially I was stoked about the opportunity of going to England for a year, however I couldn't find any information online about a Dr. Chun-Ming Fu. I was also suspicious about the need to hire a US ex-pat for these services while residing in the UK, but he did eventually provide the rationale that UK natives are charging GBP70/hour which at roughly 30 hours of teaching per week equates to over GBP8K/mo which is nearly triple what he was offering me. The contract I received is a spitting image of the one posted by Angrydaughter. Before proceeding I did a search on the supposed attorney/witness, Mr. Kevin White, who was also the witness for Angrydaughter's contract. The Dr. never did accept an appointment to talk w/me via Skype. After catching on to his scam, I played along for a while just to waste his time since he had wasted mine. He finally called me today on my cell inquiring about sending the funds, at which point I apologized and requested that he pay the work permit and spousal dependency charges for me since they'd be refunded upon our arrival, but he insisted that he was not allowed to pay the charges as stipulated in the contract (see a Word version of it below) and then the call disconnected. I doubt I'll hear from him again which is fine by me, although I do hope that he's come to the end of his fraudulent rope.

8. Travel and Related Expenses: It is the responsibility of the employer to pay: Round trip flight tickets from the country of employee citizenship and originating city to Heathrow Airport, London. The employer is legally responsible for the above noted flight costs with all expectation they would be on a low cost carrier and economy class seats however at the end of the contract should the employee recommend a destination which satisfies government regulations with respect to exiting the country and is at a lesser cost than flying the employee to his home country, the employer should duly consider this as it would be beneficial to both parties. The Employer will be at the Heathrow Airport to welcome the employee to England and the employer will shoulder the cost of their transportation from Heathrow Airport to his residence.
9. The employee must present a £800 deposit receipt made through any international money transfer service as of the time the application is being petitioned to fulfill the Tier
2 Visa maintenance requirement as stated by the UK Home Office proving that he/she has sufficient Funds available in United Kingdom as of the time the application is being made. I am doing my best to track these two down, and so called Dr seems to come from New York according to the IP address, and the 'lawyer' is tracked down to California. Likely these are originating from VPNs or other ways around revealing true addresses, so catching them could be a problem if you are trying to even locate which country to charge them in.
The US IRS has assured me that if you identify either as a US citizen they would very veeeerrryyyy happy to hunt them down.
They took my for just over 2000GBP, which was supposed to have been sent to MY NAME in England. The transfers have mysteriously vanished though, and I am getting into contact with Western Union to try to retrieve my money, which should have legally gone to me, as it was in my name.
These people haven't just scammed me, they crushed my dream of getting the ** out of Asia and in the arms of my fiance who happens to live in England. I was too blinded by their 'official documents' and money sent to my name, not theirs to believe this could be a scam. I never sent them a penny directly for anything.
If you have any information about their true identities or location, I would greatly appreciate a heads up and I have the British, Canadian, and American embassies in constant contact as well as the IRS, and a fiance in England with access to the police. If more have you have been taken in, let me offer my multitude of contacts to help you get these guys.

I have just gotten off the phone with my father, who I have had to break the news to that this is a scam. I live in the UK, so he was very excited about the possibility of being in the UK for a little while so we could see each other more often. Like others, this 'doctor' sent family photos, and they even had a telephone conversation. He sent a 'contract' for dad to sign, but the whole thing just seemed very suspicious to both me and my partner. I am so glad that I found this thread, and I have copied a bit of the contract that he was sent so that you can get the gist of what is said. I will try and get the document into a jpeg format tomorrow (it is currently 1am, but I am running on pure fury at the moment!!) and upload it on another message. Here is the excerpt:

I got an offer on 07/29/2011 from Dr. Jun Nagi Machiko from the same address #80 Halesfield, Wellington, Shrosphire, England. TF1 1BJ. Both numbers s/he, it sent didn't work when I tried to call. They urged me constantly through email to wire 1000 GBP to myself in the UK. When I told them I didn't have the money they lowerd the amount to 700 GBP. They so called Dr refered me to his Immigration lawyer. I noticed that the typo's in both emails were the same. This is a horible scam DON't fall for it !
The other red flag is the fact that s/he sends a contract with out having a phone interview. they even sent me family pictures. If they can't get the transfer they ask for bank statements. I had to close my accounts to prevent them from stealing money from me.

Yeah totally a scam got done for over 10k as they frauded working permit/visa and police documents so that I percieved it to be real. The people live in Liverpool but make up bogas places and also delt with a fake UK border agent Angela Kyle. Watch out as it is a long drawn out process to get the money back if that ever happens.

Mine was for an inhouse professional ESL teacher...I replied since it was sent via a normal ESL teacher job board. I replied the man was insane for what he wanted to do to his children and wife knowing something about how to teach newcomers! No reply, but in a week or so, got the EXACT letter with same wife and children names, same information about everything...just new 'doctor' looking for someone. I joked with my friends that it was white slavery or a big scam...but in reality, I didn't know who to report my concerns to. Glad others are finding ways to get the word out. Does anyone know what the deal really is?

I am also sad because I got my hopes up and sent information about myself although I did not send money. Time to continue the job hunt! In the ugly world of scamming, it is hard to tell who is really who, and the least responsible may be that "Dr. Kei Megumi" from Japan if he really exists.

Dr. Kei Megumi or whoever you are, If you are genuinely living in the UK, (which I doubt), you should be aware that you have committed an offence in UK law. Offences against the person includes threats to kill, and the UK police and courts will take a very dim view of your actions and you will be prosecuted.
I suspect you are working for a company abroad that has dealings with a manufacturing company in the UK, and so have an address that you can pass off fraudently as your own. It would not be the first time that such a scam has been exposed here. Make no mistake, the police in the UK can visit this company, on the basis of crime prevention, and check if you have any connections. If you name is fake they can still look at the export and importers list - even in Nigeria! From there, they can pass on any details to Interpol. Don't think that your webmail address is secure. In terms of preventing crime, your IP address and other details will be available.
You should go away and consider that nobody in their right mind would consider working for you. And if anyone will land in jail - it will be you! It's only a matter of time.
There are competent and qualified English teachers in the UK who are unemployed. As a 'resident', your children (if you qualify), can go to state school so why would you want to recruit a private teacher from abroad with all the hassle of visas and work permits?
You are not very bright. Do you honestly believe that people are not smart enough to see through these schemes? And they will publish this information to warn others not to be taken in.

Sad girl, don't get your hopes up from unsolicited email that has the marks of a scam. Jobs for nannies in the UK, including a bit of English teaching, used to be advertised in The Lady magazine, a reputable publication that would record who was placing and paying for the ad. Ok, the internet has changed recruitment big time, but be very wary. Read my other post on this topic.

Applicant Must be willing to relocate.Getting traveling papers such as visa will not be problem.
