I got one from a Luis Pinto Engineer from Chile, and a Scot Marchbank supposedly at the UK Border Agency in Sheffield telling me to send a Western Union to myself in Manchester England, the job sounded to good to be true. Of course they wanted my passport figured they would make up a fake one with a different picture and collect the money. The amount needed kept going down as I said I didn't have money to pay, he asked me to borrow from a bank or friends for a loan, and he promised to pay me a month in advance. The supposed Pinto sent me a picture of his family and having friends from Chile they could have been people from Chile. The real tip off was when I asked if I could have a webcam conversation with him and his family, no response. Then I told him I was going to send an e mail to the Border Agency and verify if there was a Scot Marchbank, they did have the official application of the Border Agency but anyone can download that. That was the end and he said he would cancel my application and look for someone else, I told him that was okay.
I doubted a family in England would look for a foreign English teacher as I have worked with people from England teaching English. Anybody can go on these employment websites and get your name and e mail, I think these scams will get more involved as we figure it out. If you check the Border Agency website you see that a lot of things don't match.
