Re: BEWARE OF VISA DECEIVER IN CHINA visachina12@yahoo.com zhang

Seriously, getting yourself in a situation where you may be blackisted (e.g., in case of a police raid or some other way they will learn about the legal status of your friend) is NOT an option.

My concrete, practical advice would be:

Finish your employment period as agreed upon with your "employer", get your cash, and leave the country. From outside, then try to find a new, legal job with a real employer who get you the necessary papers to apply for a working visa.

Any other advice contrary to that would not be of benefit to your friend - so, for example, if you decided to leave your current job, where would you go, eventually becoming homeless and have no money at all? Not very nice if you have no sufficient resources of your own.

Thus, please, your friend may reflect before before he or she is doing anything in one way or the other!

Good luck!

Hey I read so many articles about scam artists and such. If you seriously have a visa problem, is there anybody you can turn to for help? Or do you have to choose 2 choices: 1) blacklisted and deported or 2) live like a hermit.

I'm asking because I have a friend with a problem I am doing research and trying to figure out how to help.

Turnoi, Ive got a friend cheated on a visa scam by someone going by the name of Frank Zhang (Zhang Ming). Can you tell us any more information about this guy, how you found him, what he did, who he really is, where he can be found?

Cheryl,

My friend was cheated by someone who we think is Frank Zhang.
Do you agree with the poster that said "Sang Xing" is "Frank Wong?" or is that incorrect, in your opinion?
I ask because it sounds like you met him face to face...we would be interested in knowing how that came to be,
and where if possible.

M.R.

Sang Xing is a good agent, but if you're a young woman of good or fair looks, watch yourself if you meet up with him in Shanghai. Despite his middle-age flab, he's definitely got an eye for the foreign gals, and will try to come on to you strong if he finds you attractive. So, it's best not to encourage him by wearing a short skirt when you visit his office!

Frank Zhang is an evil agent operating under many different aliases to cheat and deceive foreign teachers.
His nick is "wangbadan" - please check with a native speaker of Chinese for the meaning of that phrase...
Then, you would be more reluctant to use it in your unfounded praise of that crook!

Re: BEWARE OF VISA DECEIVER IN CHINA visachina12@yahoo.com zhang

Frank Zhang (Waibadan) has provided excellent agency services to non-native speakers of English and unqualified foreigners seeking EFL posts in China over the years.
Actually, his services have been a godsend to those two groups over the years, though he has been unfairly maligned at times for having been unable to find many of them work in China's big cities other than 'monkey work, ie at training centers. The ongoing problem is that qualified native speakers of English compete in droves for decent jobs in cities like Beijing and Shanghai, ie positions as foreign teachers of English in the public education sector there. So, Waibadan has had no choice but to place many of his foreign clients in schools/universities in the backwater areas of China.
Incidentally, Waibadan has been operating under the name of Sangxing for some years to date. He has proved himself to be a good agent for me - he's as honest as the day is long!

I think there is a person well-known for his cheat and deceit behind this: FRANK ZHANG (wangbadan) from Shanghai

No, FRANK ZHANG (wangbadan) is not behind this; take it from me, he has scruples - he just tries to place foreigners in teaching jobs in China.

This man runs different kinds of shadowy businesses, stay clear of him!

And delete any of his unsolicited emails and do not respond!
